THE BEST DIVE SPOTS IN MOOREA (They are all on the ocean side of the reef) 1 - The Tiki Dive This is one of the most fun diving excursion in Moorea, not so much for the coral or the appeal of bottom features but for the large and varied fauna which will congregate around you for scraps of food. The divemaster will feed many species, all for the greatest pleasure of the divers. You will see perch, balisters, nasons, chaetodons, groupers, surgeon fish, Napoleon wrass and gray sharks who will respond eagerly to the invitation. This feast often also attracts a few lemon sharks which make for dramatic pictures. 2 - The Taotaha Inlet Here a succession of canyons provide stunning light effects at a relatively small depth. Parrot-fish, jacks, platax, groupers, lutjans, and surgeon fish dart about between the threads of light. 3 - The Napoleon Wrass Plateau Three minutes away from the Taotoi inlet, a succession of valleys where Napoleon wrass, balisters, jacks, surgeon-fish and morray eels criss-cross interminably.
