Ninamu is VERY private, but a beautiful little motu. It is very close to the main village Tuherahera (10 min) boat ride) and they have a lot of surfers around. At low tide you could even walk to the main motu with the village via the reef.
It is not the same "remote" experience as Kia Ora or Raimiti but then again you'd still be on your private motu sort of. I think they have 5 bungalows, 1 got messed up during the high floods last year. If you look on Google Earth and you follow from the airstrip to the west to the end of the main motu you see a little drop, tiny motu, where people are standing on the beach and they wrote TAHINA in the sand (was a sailboat expedition), it is not that one but the one just to he West of that.
