We have 5 couples going on the Paul Gauguin 02/15/03 and have thought about doing one thing on the trip where the group plans in advance to do something together. Well a Sunset "cocktail only" catamaran cruise in Bora Bora has been the thing we would like to do. I have been in contact with Richard Postma of TARAVANA Island Sport Charters Bora Bora. He has quota us a fair price, and said if we would send a check in advance he would furnish transporation to and from the ship. Can anyone give me advise on this charter service? Thanks

TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

Hi Charlie: I tried to do that. Maybe I just missed it. I did receive comments from Pat from Chicago who recently was on the PG and was on this charter catamaran. Not a sunset cruise. Said it was wonderful and very professional.

It's the fire damaged Windstar which is currently moored next to Moorea Ferry's dock. Been there since it was towed back after the fire.

My Mistake. We just got back from some shopping in Papeete and it is the Tahitian Princess which I heard showed up a couple of days ago. This must be the new ship in town! I don't follow this at all but my wife saw something in the local paper a couple of days ago. Check with Princess Cruises they will have all the info. Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the info. I did not realize that they took the R4 and repainted it when they changed the name. Our group was one of those that was suppose to be on the R4 last 02/14/02 when they stopped. That is why we are on the Paul Gauguin 02/15/03
