My TA just called today to say the new rates were out, however, we are looking for a beachfront bungalow rather than the OWB and Radisson was telling her they just include the OWB at Pearl Beach in their '06 package. I'd rather stay in the beachfront, since my daughter who was there two years ago, said the beachfronts were a bit nicer; more private than the OWB. They stayed in both but preferred the beachfront. Since we're doing this post PG cruise, I'm not caring if I'm over the water another 4 days or not!! My TA said '06 rate increase was minimal. As an aside, I'm still having a hard time picturing me in Tahiti - the person who HATES flying!!!

We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.

We just received a notification that we were going to be hit with a $5 per day per person fuel surcharge plus $49 per person on the air...unless we had paid in full by the Oct. 31 (and of course this letter arrived on Nov. 4th)
Oh well.

Steve: That's interesting. I haven't heard anything like that! In fact, I just got the completed invoice with all my reservations and it didn't include any additional charges. Just says I need to pay the balance by January.

I just pulled out the letter again. It is dated Oct. 24, and arrived on Nov. 4th. It clearly states that ALL Radisson Seven Seas Cruises will implement a $5 per day per person "cruise" fuel surcharge for all 2006 reservations unless paid in full by Oct. 31, 2006.
It then goes on to state that effective Oct. 31st it will pass "air" fuel surcharges to all reservations for which air arrangements are included...which applies to the Paul Gauguin's 2006 Tahiti cruises and the Seven Seas Mariner's 2006 Grand Asia Pacific cruises (as well as Navigator and Voyager European cruises.) This is $45 per person...each way. That's a $280 increase for us. Had we received the letter by Oct. 31st it certainly would have been worth paying our outstanding total.
Very interesting that you have not received this. Did you go through an agent? We booked air, cruise and land options directly with RSSC.
