Has anyone gone on this cruise? Do you have any suggestions of island excursions that are a "must" or any that were not worth it?

TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

done it twice, doing it again in a year. Marc's on Huahine IS a must do. We also got a group together for a sunset cruise on BB on the Taravana, it was so much fun!! Patrick's land tour on Tahiti was very good. we will hopefully be doing all 3 again when we go back. I would not do any of the tours from the ship, they are overpriced and usually shorter than what you can pick up onshore.

We are doing PAtricks during pre-cruise and Bruno. Since we are in the Marquesas itin, we are not going to Huahine, so no Marc (or does someone know of another, especially in BB?)

Just got back from the Christmas sailing on the TP and will be posting a trip report soon. Had a fantastic time, definately go on Marc's motu picnic, it was the best excursion we went on. Incredibly we had no rain the entire cruise except some brief showers at night. Someone told me it had rained a straight 2 weeks before we boarded the ship on Dec. 20th. French Polynesia is easily one of the most beautiful spots on the planet.
