The internet access on the PG fades in and out, so we sporadically lose the connection. So I can upload pictures to Kodak since it goes picture by picture, but photoshow won’t upload because it takes time to upload and the time bar gets about ¾ done for slideshow and then quits. Oh well.

So here some pictures without captions, music and other fancy bells and whistles.

This one is our last day at the ICB and boarding the PG.

This is the first day when we went the motu for partying. Followed by an entertaining meal and some jazz by the Titan Hot Seven (check their website)

Bora Bora Cruises
TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

I will see you onboard on Tuesday the 20th night. I am just going across to Tahiti from Moorea.
I will look you up.

We now have the first Marquesas island in view, but barely. It is cloudy, windy and raining. I doubt we will be able to get off the ship. All this way from Bora Bora and we can just sit here and watch. Oh Well.

Bad news. Our daughter called yesterday and my wife's father passed away. We bought insurance, and are now attempting to fly home. We may have to wait until we get to Rangiora on Sunday.

So Andy, we may not be here by the time the PG gets to Moorea.

Here is the photoshow that I created on-board but could not post. It has the same, plus more, photos as in the 1st Kodak album above.

This shows our last hours at the ICB before taking a cab to the dock, boarding the PG, our cabin, and some other misc. shots

Yes Andy we did. We flew back last Sunday from Rangiroa, cutting our trip short by 6 nights. So this past week was spent with family. Now we have to file the insurance claim.

How was Moorea and PG? I understand they were going to spent 3 days there instead of 2 to maximize the weather (pretty bad in the Marquesas).

Yes and extra day on Moorea. Not too bad because the weather was good. I did hear that the sea was rough and a lot of sick people on the Marquesas leg of the trip. They are doing the same trip this week back on Saturday and back to the 7 day trips for a while. I hope things went better once you returned.

It was not so much the passing of my wife's father that caused the 'pain', but it was not being able to hug her mom, sister and daughter and console each other. That is when the 'healing' starts. So yes, things are now on the ment.

Here is a link to our first full day on the PG which was mostly spent at Motu Mahana.
