I'm still doing some jet lag, so my typing/spelling may be suspect!

Bora Bora Cruises
TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

They should read the "Marquesas" chapter of Paul Theroux's book..."The Happy Isles of Oceania...Paddling The Pacific".
He was either on Aranui 1 or 2, but it's interesting reading.

Pago, thanks for the report. So, how much did you pay to get from the Hotel Tiare to the Aranui3?

I'll be there in 5 days. :-)

Paul Theroux is is a curmudgeon, but worth reading.

I'm not really sure, my bro in law paid. Maybe around $20.00?
The desk clerk at the hotel saved us. Maybe you can make a deal with her and her family member who has that 4-door pick up truck.
Yes, Theroux is something. I've read about three of his travel books.
Just today I looked at my sis in laws cd that she sent .RE:Marquesas voyage number 7.

I will ask her in 4 days what she can do for us in terms of transportation. Ours is Trip 9 - and, by the way, I have no intention of doing those strenuous hikes under the tropical sun.

Were you able to go to Anaho Bay on Nuku Hiva? I would love to see it.

Yes we did Anaho Bay. If you have a chance to go by jeep/bus etc., take it! The walks/hikes/marches are strenuous.
