We would love to take a day long sail boat cruise in either Bora Bora or Tahaa. We wil be visiting both islands. I have read a lot about the motorized canoe and power boat cruises but I'm a sailboat lover at heart. We would preferably do this in a small group (max 8 people) to keep the price below $800. Any suggestions from all the experts?

TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.

Hmm. There are a lot of sailboats on Raiatea, and probably Taha'a too. My husband took an afternoon excursion on a beautiful boat last time we were there, but I'm darned if I can remember the name. I'm betting that there are boats like this available for day charters. Sorry not to be more specific, I'll dig the name up if I can.
