Hores Back Riding on Moorea?

Hello all,
Thanks for the always informative posts. Has anyone done any horseback riding on Moorea? If so, do the rides stick to the interior and do you have to follow a quide?

Hi Ellen,
I haven't done any horseback riding on Moorea, but know that there is a stable right across the street from Moorea Village where you can rent horses, and I have seen people riding them down the beach. You can get more info from MV when you arrive.

Thanks for your reply! I'm sure we'll be spending most of our time in the water-planning on doing some diving, etc., and also exploring the island. Heck, I don't care what we do, as long as we are in FP thats all that matters right? I've never seen horseback riding mentioned on these boards so I didn't know if it was a popular activity or not. As it happens we will be staying at the Moorea Village. Have you stayed there?
