#17800 - 01/17/04 07:59 AM Aquawalk in Moorea or BB ?
Anonymous Unregistered

We will be on board the Tahitian Princess in april, who offer a Aquawalk in BB for 72 USD. I know there's one in Moorea too where we'll be staying four additional nights. Is there a difference between the two walks ? Which one is most recommended ? If they are quite similar, we would opt for the Moorea one since we save an afternoon in Bora Bora that way. Every input much appreciated ! Thanks

I can't speak for the AquaWalk in Bora Bora but we did the AquaWalk in Moorea and it was a lot of fun. It is one of the must do's in my book. I don't think that it gets the attention that it should.

Have fun

Hello to all
Love to try this, I don't swim unfortunately, Do you walk down a ladder off the side of boat or do you have to jump into water. I understand you wear a large yellow helmut connected back up to boat. I know this sounds silly but would really love to see your beautiful underwater world. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks to all. 14 more days to go!

You walk down a latter to the ocean floor. Here are some pictures of your trip.

It was so much fun and an amazing experience.

Thank You very much for your reply. We're so excited. I'm trying to pack as light as possible. I'm also trying to pick things as casual as possible,
Hard coming from the city. Toronto Ontario Canada. I'd like to bring 2 or 3 long skirts and one nice pair silk pants for dinner in the main dinning rooms in merridien. Would this be out of place. Thank you again.

Just got back. We did it in BB. It was fantastic. You don't need to know how to swim, my wife didn't know how and she jumped in as well. Just need to breathe normally. The helmet protects your face so my hair didn't get wet and didn't even need to take off my glasses. Take your time to go down slowly so that the pressure wont affect your ears. Wished we had bought a casing for our videocam.

You won't need pants in Tahiti - that sounds a little dirty but that's not what I meant

Shorts, shorts, swimsuit, sandals, water shoes, shorts, swimsuit - you'll be fine.

We did have nicer clothes to wear at night to dinners but I didn't wear anything but shorts and swim suits the whole time. I loved it!

can you tell me about the one in Moorea? how long do you actually get to stay down? we plan to do that one, but we are concerned that we waste a lot of time preparing then only get a few minutes to enjoy the scenery!

The AquaWalk in moorea - you're under for about 20/30 min, the time flys by.

I haven’t heard much about this walk. How much was it and where did you find out about it?
