Weird. The eco tour was on the Beachcomber's pre-printed "menu" of activities when we were there in March. Unfortunately, I don't have contact info; I'll have to look around this weekend and see if we brought the list home with us (which we usually do).

Thanks Zoe & Rook for trying - On the Fetia Ura they did try to sell it a person in France and it was suppose go back last year but the deal fell thru. The problem with it is the FP government put all kinds of restrictions on the operations of this kind and it became un profitable to do.

There are PDFs of the activity "menus" on the Intercontinental site and the one for Moorea lists two dolphin excursions in addition to their own swim-with-dolphins-in-an-enclosure activity.

The eco tour is in the second column, under "Excursions with Catamaran Manu" and is 8200cfp per person. It looks like there is also a circle island tour with dolphin watch (with or without picnic) for 6200 or 9100 cfp depending on whether you choose to eat or starve ;\)

These are, of course, all 2004 prices.

The link is here:

And should I even MENTION how excited I am to actually know something that Pacific Andy doesn't? I even considered cleaning out the closet to find the list for him.. ;\)

Thanks for the info and there is a lot of stuff I do not know about Tahiti. Hamara is probably the most knowledgable person out there.

Rook,

My apologies for not answering your question sooner, I lost track of this thread.

So here I go almost a month later, and we leave this Friday:

3 nights at the Le Taha'a (BB OWB)
5 nights at the Hotel Bora Bora (Premium Beach Fare)
3 nights at the Sheraton Moorea (Horizon OWB)
2 nights in Tahiti coming and going at the Beachcomber (either Panorama or OWB)

Your trip down the alter and a Honeymoon of a life time is getting close as well \:\)

Well we just reserved a spot for his already planned weekly trip. We did not give him any money, we do that we the trip leaves. It leaves right from the Beachcombers dock which is where we are staying, so if he does not show, we will just have a drink and do something else.

I would not worry about Dr Poole, I have never heard that he does not show up. We booked from the states and then called when we arrived and had no problems. Its good to call when you arrive in Moorea to re-confirm, he does sometimes seem confused but I dont think its intentional. Good luck on the tour.
