Wow- I really am getting nothing done today \:\)

Our wedding isn't quite the whole 9 yards but it's about 7.5 of it. Never the less, it's amazing what people think they can "suggest". We are also paying for it, so I sweetly suggest that if they have their heart set on that, could they please put their money where their mouth is? Then I could care less! So annoying.

Hi Bizmo. Yes we made our last trip to FP last Aug/Sept. We did go to the Sauvage. What can I say about the Sauvage that hasn't already been said? It was so totally awesome, beautiful, unbelievable...words do not do it justice. We fell in love with the island, with Michel and his lovely wife, with Joe(now deceased) and Josephine the dogs, even with the sharks! We only stayed two nights, huge mistake. If and when I go back it will be at least 4 nights and possibly a full week. It was a dream come true.

We liked Huahine, it's quite possibly the most beautiful island of all and we loved the town of Fare. I'm not sure why we wouldn't go back but hubby and I both feel the same way...no urge to go back there.

Bora Bora....it's definitely the most expensive island of all and I'm not sure it warrants more money for what you get. It's beautiful too...but more people, more commercial, and it seemed windier there. We thought the water in Rangi was as good as Bora Bora. Of course this is all just our feelings and opinions, there are plenty of people who feel that BB is the only place to go.

Anyway...if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. The islands have definitely stolen a big chunk of my heart.

Thanks Kristy. I'm looking for reasons to delete islands off my list! We're planning a long trip for next spring/summer and I my ideal trip is still too long and hits too many islands.

Good to hear about Huahine. I really love to idea of hanging out in Fare and getting a sense of the essence of polynesia. I understand how you can have loved a place but not have a desire to go back.

For me, the desire to retutn is often related to the fact that I wasn't yet ready to leave, didn't have my fill. Yet, other times, I don't know, just something about the place gets into your heart and won't let go...

I don't expect to love Bora Bora, though I am curious about the incredible lagoon. And I have seen a few pics that do make me think I might love it. And if we do the air pass route we may have to go through anyway, so I think we'll see it, but only stay 3 nights to minimize the expenses.

I do have a question. Do you know what happen to Atelier Santal? Did they survive the fire at the Blue Pineapple? When we were there 2 years ago they had been putting up a website, but it never seemed to get active and is long gone. We have our table cloth out right now. It's a reminder to me to not put off til tommorrow. I often wonder what happend to Marc and his wife.
