What are the average water temps in early June and is there a NOAA weather site or some other site I can monitor the water temps?

I am NOT cold natured, but do not want to get there and get a bit chilled for extended times in the water.
I plan on loads of time in the water with a few days of diving in Bora Bora.
Thank you for any information
Pappy

Expect low 80s for water temps.

The Dive shops all offer shorty wet suits which are adequate for my husband but I always bring my full wet suit. Aside from good sun protection, it allows me to stay out much longer snorkeling since I'm not putting much energy into paddling along. Sometimes when I start to get chilly, I just start swimming really hard and get a bit warmed up, then can go back and rejoin my husband who never seems to get uncomfortable!

Water temps in low 80's during summer, Dec - Feb. High 70's to 80 in winter, June - Sept. Dive shops offer shortys when the temps are not above 80 deg F.

Rule of thumb is that water temp of 80 deg F is "neutral" - you neither gain nor lose body heat.

Real, you don't loose heat at 80 degrees? Maybe with a full suit, even I, who is warm, will loose heat eventually with just a shorty at 80 degrees.
