If you could only visit one FP island for 4 nights, which would you chose and why? We are faced with this decision. We're in our mid 50's and this will be our first trip to FP....short as it is! Which island is your favorite?

Do you prefer secluded or more active, snorkeling or land activities, staying put on the resort property of seeing the sights?

I believe--given only 4 nights overall in French Polynesia (with the jet-lag, etc.) that I would choose Moorea. Many great things to do, excursions, boat trips, etc (read the back discussions in this forum for info).
This forum also provides great info on hotels, excursions, etc. Whatever you end up doing, you will have a wonderful time. I only wish you had a few more days in FP!! Then I would send you on to BoraBora (which you could do!!). You would land at Papeete, Tahiti--and get a flight to BoraBora. As always, this depends on your budget and your desires.
Go into "research" on this site--or back postings--you will find much info on the difference in the islands. However, I do not think you can go wrong anywhere!!
Also try" http://www.Polynesian Islands.com
They have excellent info as well.
Enjoy your trip (I know you will!)
Nana, Jan
