Hi Rayane, I will also be making my first trip to FP in May, and I can't wait. It's finally almost here. I booked this trip over a year ago, and it's hard to believe I'm finally leaving in a little over a month. Moorea is my first stop, then Bora Bora, and ending in Rangiroa.

Hey there, I'll be making my first trip in May into June as well. Starting off in Moorea, then on to Manihi, and finishing up the trip in Bora Bora. Staying at all Pearl Resorts along the way. And the way things are going up here in the northeast, that's probably the next time I'll see the sun too!

Bryan O, I'm up in the northeast too. Boston! I did not think many people from this area made out to FP. I'll be there on my Honeymoon the last two weeks of May as well.

And we'll end up having to take a Sea-plane from Logan if it doesn't stop raining soon.
What resorts are you staying at?
We've got our wedding on the 22nd and we're arriving at the PB Moorea on the 23rd.
How about you RAYNE? When are you heading down.

I'm a little sick of this rain too. Where actually eloping. Getting married on Catalina Island in California on the May 15th (don't tell any one!). We'll be on Moorea from May 16th to May 20th. Staying at the Sheraton Lagoon resort in a BB. Then off to Bora Bora on May 20th staying at the Sofitel Motu in and OWB. We end the whole thing in Rangiroa at the Kia Ora Villae in and OWB, and return home on the 29th. Looks like you'll be a few steps behind me on your trip.

We are getting married on May 15th and staying in Moorea from 16-23. I can not wait!!! We are going to take scuba lessons here at home so we can dive there...so exciting!!! We're staying at the Pearl Resort...

Rayne, It looks like we'll be there at the same time. Your going to love diving. I'm a divemaster here at home, I help out with classes at a local dive shop. I'll be diving on Moorea, Bora Bora, and Rangiroa. I'm only diving one day on Moorea (May 18th) with Moorea Fun dive. My wife to be, does not dive, and we're only on Moorea until the 20th, I won't get much in there. I wonder if we are on the same flights. We're on a 1pm flight from LAX, and a 8Pm flight from tahiti to Moorea. What tours are you guys planning to do (if any)? We're doing a 4x4 tour with Alberts on the morning of the 17th, and a lagoon excursion with Alberts Monana tours on May 19th. Might rent a car on the 18th and tour around the circle island road.

NXC, It's too bad I didn't find out earlier that you were a divemaster. I thought long and hard about getting certified while I was up here so I could dive at the dropoff in Manihi. Oh well, snorkeling will have to do.
Rayne, too bad you're leaving the same day I get there or you could give me a recap and advice on what to do.
I do plan on doing EVERY activity I can....including sitting on deck, throwing back some Hinano's. What other kind of excursions do you guys have booked? I should give you guys my email, so you can give me any advice if you get a chance to make it over to the any of the internet cafe's.

BryanO, You could still probably get certified in time if you wanted. Most classes are about five weeks long. There are few places that sometimes offer two week classes. You could do your classroom, tests, and pool work here, and do the four open water dives in Moorea. See Scuba diving section of this forum, there is someone you is doing just that in a question there.
On Moorea , I have the 4X4 tour booked the first Morning, along with massages in our room for around sunset (figured that would be relaxing/romantic, it better be for what it costs). The second day I'm diving in the morning and probably touring around the island via a rented car. And the last day before we fly out for Bora Bora, we're doing the Lagoon Excursion along with the Tiki village show (even though I hear it's a tourist trap). On Bora Bora I'm diving with Top dive in the morning of the second day. On Saturday we have a private 4X4 excursion booked with Patrick's activities in the morning, and planning on doing a Helicopter tour in the afternoon, and a sunset cruise that night (Our busiest day). Diving again the next day, and a lagoon excursion the last day. Then it's off to Rangiroa. I'll be diving most of the time there. Will probably do one day excursion the last day in Rangi. We end with a day on Tahiti, because our flight does not leave until 10PM, and we get there at 10AM. We have a day room at the sheraton and will probably hit the market in town. What tours are you thinking of doing?
