rodjune, the more the merrier. I have requested BB #56, so we should be in the 50's row somewhere. As we arrive on the 17th, we will just be hangin' all day. Hope to meet you and tip a few.

DenverJoe, I've made a note of your preferred room/room numbers. As you could guess it, I could not sleep last night as I have major trip excitement since we are leaving tonight. I'm sitting here at work right now thinking about our arrival in PPT 24 hours from now, the wonderful smell of the island flowers, and the beautiful island of Moorea off the coast at sunrise. Then, after changing money, it's off to Fakarava where we will be met by the Raimiti folks. Paradise at last!

DenverJoe- Are you bringing a CD/DVD burner with you? If you are could I ask a favor from you? When I was there the dining room music was hysterical. It was a CD by the Barefoot Boys that plays over and over and over and over again, but the CD is now out of print. I wanted a song of off it, "silence is golden". It's a particularly whiney version of the song, but it makes me laugh every time I think about it and I would like to suprise my husband. Could you make a copy of the CD?

rodjune, have a safe trip over. Hopefully I'll be able to hear about Raimiti over drinks on Rangi. We are in final prep stage now. Hard to do any work thinking about the trip. Justine - I'm not taking my laptop, but I'll give it a shot. No guarantees though. Maybe someone will have something electronic I can use. Keep your fingers crossed.
Paradise, here we come.

Hey- anything would be great! I really appreciate it. We have such great memories of Manihi. It was perfect. You will love it. If nothing else, could you ask Frank to email me the song? (Frank is the most excellent manager.) My email is justineyork at yahoo dot com. In case you don't know, just go through the regular file attachment proceedure. Just select the appropiriate file/song from the CD drive.

Hi everyone on the boards. An update on Denver Joe. We actually met up with Denver Joe at the KOV on a Friday afternoon. He came through on his promise and bought us drinks at the overwater bar at sunset. It was a gorgeous evening out on the deck.
It took a little effort to find him as we didn't have a last name. We first thought that we might just bump into them as we walked around the KOV resort looking for another couple that looked American and spoke English. We had no idea what Denver Joe looked like and he certainly didn't know my face. We even walked along the beach looking at the people on their decks, hoping that Denver Joe would recognize the "lost" couple staring at the people on the decks. We finally went to the front desk after our failed mission, and lo and behold, they located him by first name "Joe" or "Joseph", arrival date and country of residence (keep in mind we had no last name to give to the front desk lady either). When we called him on the house phone and said guess who, they were in shock that someone speaking English and asking for Joe actually called for them in their room in French Polynesia the day they arrived. You can run but you can't hide! Another amusing and funny story to write in my travel journal.

rodjune, it was great to meet you. I hope you and your wife are doing well. Take care with the little one on the way. You need to try the Pearl on Manihi. At one point we were the only people at the resort. Then 6 came in. For one evening there were only 8 people there and we all had dinner at the same time. They only set 4 tables. More to come in a trip report. But it was fabulous.
Justine, sorry to say Frank left for the Moorea Pearl and took his music with him. I gave it a shot though.
