I will be in New York During Tahiti Week April 26th thru 29th. Still trying to find out which bars will be serving Hinano for the event. When I find out I will pass it along. Get your Tahitian Shirt out.

Hi PA! I am actually from North Jersey but lived in the big city for 5 years. I'd love to go to the Tahiti events but I may have to study for my exams (I have my law school finals the first week of May). However, I'm sure I'll need a study break at some point so keep us updated!

Hi PA! I'm from Northern NJ also. Going to FP in June for our 40th. Been aware of this week thru you and our local newspapers.
If you find out where they'll be serving the Hinano would greatly appreciate it. Can't wait until June to try it.
P.S.-Know what you said in the past about Tommy Bahama silk shirts in FP. However I did receive one as a gift recently. It's a good looking one. Have to take it along.

My husband and I just got back yesterday from our honeymoon in Tahaa and Bora Bora and we're already planning our next trip back (our trip report will come soon). We live in Brooklyn and are very interested to find out more about Tahiti week, we plan on taking full advantage of the opportunity to drink a few Hinanos here at home....

Its April 26th thru the 29th in Manhattan. Some bars will be featuring Hinano but not sure which ones. All the Jewelry stores will have Black Pearls on Sale. They are handing out tiares at Grand Central station and they are trying to get the Grande Ballet on the Todays show for one of the mornings. I will keep you updated

OK, I guess the logistical problem of bring Hinano from Tahiti to NYC is too much so the bar idea at Tahiti week will no longer happen. They will be doing things at the new Time Warner Center near the park. Dancers, handing out Tiare flowers and a few Air Tahiti Nui booths for information. A few restaurants are having a few special dishes but still waiting for confirmation on which ones.
