We're going to Tikehau from April 10th-April 14th then onto Rangi from the 14th-17th. We're staying at the Tikehau Pearl and Hotel Kia Ora. Anyone else?

jells, if you're going for a beach bung at KOV. ask for 54, 55, or 56. They are the 3 brand new ones they built after the others burned down. They are absolutely amazing. Instead of the hot tub, they have a small infinity plunge pool. We stayed in #56.

We are staying in a beach bungalow there, but I can't remember which ones we requested! ACK! I'll re-request and thanks for the tip!

So, we may not be going now due to my husband needing back surgery If anyone is going to be there then, I'll provide an update when everything settled and we know for sure whether we are going or not. When we do reschedule, we are also adding Manihi into the mix! YAY!

Jells: if you can reschedule during low season and you do both Pearls on Manihi and Tikehau (for four nights each), they usually do a free MAP deal. We've got it for our March trip this year to Moorea and Manihi.
That's a lovely tip on the plunge pools: the only thing to consider is that those new beach bungalows are kind of positioned in a small space between the overwater bar/pool and the restuarant/edge of the property. It wouldn't stop me from giving it a whirl, but it's worth mentioning.

Well, so far, we'll be in Tikehau and Rangiroa as planned! The hubby still needs to see another doctor!
Zoe- I'm going to aim for the MAP deal in 2007 since this trip is pretty much sealed and then in November we're doing Mooorea and Aitutaki. Hopefully they'll still have the MAP deal then because I'd like to do Manihi and maybe Tikehau again, plus Fakarava. I also need to get myself to Huahine

jells- We are looking to do a similar itinerary to Tikehau & Rangi in August or September '06. We'll be looking forward to your trip report. Glad to hear that you'll be able to make the trip after all.

oh and Jake- we're doing an overwater suite in Tikehau and a beach bungalow in Rangiroa. I'll try to check out the other accomodations, though, if you had something particular in mind (and haven't booked already at that point! )
