Fare Oa Oa's Web site quotes the dorm as 2500 (dortoir)(the room for two people is 5500, see this trip report I found http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/mette/round_the_world/1113424680/tpod.html),
at Motu Iti the dorm is, I vaguely recall from Apri, now 1750 or 1850.

Use the Babel fish translator on Alta Vista to read the Fare Oa Oa web site. Ifn't you aren't a Douglas Adams fan, the Babel fish is out of his Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series. If you put a babel fish in your ear, you can hear and speak all languages automatically. And yes, when speaking of FP, budgets are meant to be abused.

You can also try this site for translations. Just cut and paste text and it does the rest.

I stayed at Marks and besides being out of the way all was good at first. Then Mark "overhears" a bunch of us talking in one of the bungalows late at night where I said jokingly to others that *%$*@ Mark forgot to get my mattress. So I borrow one from bungalow and Mark flips his wig the next morning. That I was laying on mattresses for paying guests, that I left the lights on, another camper had to actually come up and tell him he left on lights. Actually threatened me, then when realized he was freaking everyone out he quickly changed his tune and insisted all was ok and I should stay. Needless to say I left in hurry and had a wonderful rest of trip camping on beach not at chez nelson, french owners where very rude to my tahitian friend, but the locally owned pension right down street near the chicken rotiserie with rosemary potatoes van, tasty and inexpensive.
One last thing, must visit Ronald at Pineapple Beach awesome experience, do the Tahitian Feast! Thanks for great time and all your help Ronald. A special thanks to Kiiking, hope your house and the english are progressing nicely!!

For camping, try Moorea Camping at PK 27.5 on Moorea, nice white beach and a few small bungalows. (That's the one near Chickenman, and next to Nelson Camping.) Here's a link to a recent review:

Why do people give their (honest) opinion then say...this is only my opinion? Who's opinion is it if it wasn't yours?!?!

I have had people e-mail me before mad because I did not put it was my opinion. I do not know why but may be some people think you read it some where or have taken some one elses opinion because you could not come up with it yourself.
