I stopped at the local pool supply store and bought my blow-up raft. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. For the record, when summer comes, I am going to buy a couple of the cheapies for my next trip. I don't usually go on island vacations until winter time and then its too late to buy that stuff. Although, I did find some aqau shoes at Kmart in November for $1.25.

Just returned from BB and brough rafts. Inflated by breath in 5 min and enjoyed the heck out of them. You can cover a lot of area with them. They are available at the local pool supply store year round.

We took 10 Tote and Floats with us last week. We only filled 4 of them with our $4.00 air pump because they were to hard to fill. I recommend that if you have tote and floats take a good quality air pump with you. Not a $4.00 quality!!

Hi, I'll be going there in june and am very excited. A stupid question: don't all hotels have kayaks for use, free of charge? why bother bringing your own one?

Tote & Floats are high quality blow up air matresses.
They are perfect for laying on the beach or floating around in the water.
Just back from MS Paul Gauguin cruise. The only way to go. In the long run it is a lot less expensive than going to resorts, and the food is much much better, you only unpack once, and you get to see lots of islands.

True, most hotels have kayaks you can use, but if you bring a float, you can tie it up to your OWB deck and float whenever you feel like it and never be hogging a kayak. We liked to get on our float chairs and just float until we felt we were too far away then we would get into the water (cool off) and swim the chair back to near the deck and do it all over again.

T-Minus 13 hours until my flight! Have to report that that I have revisited all of the stores that I previously mentioned and still couldn't find that elusive(sp) Toat and Float. I did however find a 74" x 84" raft that cost 9.99 at Target. I haven't packed it yet, will decide in the morning. From all of my vacations that I have ever had I can remember the most pleasure from floating on the water. If I could only figure how to pump the thing up.... Just, Kidding. Trip report to follow.

Thank's for all the great reads.

Kerry
