Hi everyone, I know this thread is a bit old but the Sofitel Huahine is actually featured in Six Days Seven Nights with Harrison Ford. The aerial shot when they are flying into their "resort" is the Sofitel (I'm pretty sure this movie is about 8 years old and it definitely has scenes of various Tahiti locations in it). It looks like it was in a magic spot as Yves said.

Anderson doesnt own it. He was leasing land/building from the owners.
Anderson doesnt own anything in FP and the entire project is a bust.
