Hello Ken, Would you mind emailing me some of your pictures too? My email is [deleted]. I have to decide within the next couple of days between going to Tikehau and Maupiti at the end of my trip to FP in two weeks. Thanks. Guy

Just learned from my TA that the Tikehau Pearl will be completely closed from October 20 through December 20 for renovations. We had booked there for part of our honeymoon and now must explore alternatives. We would like to keep this part of the trip on one of the Tuamotu Islands for the atoll experience. What do you think would be most comparable to the Tikehau pearl on one of the other atolls? Maitai Dream Fakarava, the Manihi Pearl or KOS? Thanks for any help here.

Ken D,
Glad you enjoyed Tikehau! We too loved the little silver fish right off the beach...they seemed to swim with you as you climbed in the water to snorkel. I agree that out of Moorea, Bora Bora and Tikehau, I would say that Tikehau was our favorite place. It just had a more authentic, remote feel to us.

I wondered what the little silver fish that love bread were called and found out they are "mullet". Just thought I'd add that in case anyone was curious.
