Hello All, my wife and I are going to FP for the first time and we have a Sunset OWB at Le Taha'a. Any suggestions on which is the bungalow is the best and do you make the request when you get there or before.
Thanks in advance...

Hi, Desert Ram. If you go to their website, they have the OW Bugalow numbers listed. It depends on what you like - some people don't like the long walk out to the last bungalow all of the time. My wife and I are going in June and we have requested number 42. They replied to us saying that they cannot guarrentee that bungalow, however they will give it to us if it is available. I haven't been there before so we're taking a guess from the map. If you're going to be there after June 19, I'll be able to tell you which appears to be the best. The map is at http://www.letahaa.com/main.asp Just click on the map to enlarge it.

My wife e-mailed them, Desertram. Here was their response: Thank you very much for your e-mail.
We aknowledge your request and we will do our utmost to allocate you bungalow # 35 or an equivalent one, please kindly understand that we can not guaranty your room number.
Do not hesitate to contact me should you need more information.
Best regards from Tahiti,
Anne

We also emailed our request and ended up in the one next to it. Basically all of the sunset OWBs are fantastic except possibly the one closest to the shore - it is not quite as private due to the way the boardwalk out to it curves.

Desertram, just got back yesterday and we actually got number 42. It was awesome and by far the most private (other than premium 41 next door). 42 was facing directly west, so we got incredible sunsets every night. The west aspect is actually better than premium 41, so hopefully you'll get 42. The only draw back for the sunset bungalows is that they are a fair walk from the pool area, but that didn't bother us. The main pool and bar area is in line with the Bora Bora bungalows. We had room service every night except the seafood buffet night when we ate at the resturaunt, so we were left very isolated and relaxed. You'll be blown away with the resort - we were!
