Is there a good pension or hotel near the airport on Raiatea? We have the necessary one night layover on the way to Manihi. Thanks

Yes, and it is called the Sunset Beach Motel it is an excellent small hotel with very nice bungalows. I live about a mile from the hotel, and know it very well. The manager is a young man by the name of Moana, and he speaks english, french, and tahitian. He will pick you up and take you to the hotel and when you are ready to leave for Manihi, he will return you to the departure point.
