I would love to hear about anyone's experience at Tahaa and Le Tahaa Private Island Resort. We are thinking about the Beach Villa for 3 nights. Thanks.

If you've got the bucks go for it. Pricey but superb service and the most luxurious accomodations we ever had in FP. Decent snorkeling in the channel near the pool area. Wonderful sunset views of Bora Bora. Very relaxing.

Did you stay in an OWB or Beach Villa. Also, we can arrive there very early like 7:30 a.m. or in the early afternoon 3:30 which do you recommend?

We stayed in an OWB. Very nice but the lagoon bottom around the OWBs was all bare sand ( 4 years ago)so there weren't very many fish around the OWBs compared to other places we've stayed in FP. You could opt for either arrival time but whether or not you can get into your bungalow early would depend on availability & whether or not they would let you check in that early without charging you an extra day. Might be a good idea to send an Email to the resort and ask.

The beach bungalows are the best deal. Large, private and very nice. Do a OW on Bora Bora or Moorea.

Thanks Andy. I am also being advised to do Taha'a last. The save the best for last theory. What do you think? Does it really matter?

My wife and I just returned from two weeks in Tahiti, with the last 3 nights, 4 days at Le Tahaa. It was, without question, the best of the best and may be one of the nicest places we'll ever stay in our lives. We were at Moorea and Bora Bora prior to going to Le Tahaa Private Island and we were thrilled that we saved it for last. Any other way and we would have been disappointed in what came next. Also, definitely go with a beach bungalow. Without question. The OWBs are nice, but if you've done them anywhere else, then you've done them at Tahaa (they're just bigger at Le Tahaa, but very poor snorkeling in comparison). With the beach bungalow, you have your own private compound, your own plunge pool, outdoor shower and tub, etc. It is amazing. Enjoy!

We did the exact same thing, saved Tahaa for last and were glad we did. Even though we stayed at nice places on Moorea and Bora Bora, the beach bungalows at Tahaa are simply amazing. I think the only thing that beat Tahaa was the shower head at the Sofitel Motu. Then again, the outdoor shower in the Tahaa beach bungalow is pretty neat.
It was these forums that convinced me to include Tahaa on my honeymoon and am glad I found this place while doing my research. Otherwise, I may have missed out on a fantastic experience. You are going to love it.

Thanks smc and wcclee. We just decided to switch the order based on the opinions on this board and the TA. We decided to include Taha'a and from what I am reading it is a good decision. We are doing an OWB in Huahine and an Horizon OWB at the Sofitel. And yes, I can't wait to get under that shower head again. Funny how everyone remembers those showers So the order looks like Huahine, Bora Bora and Taha'a. Any opinion or suggestions are appreciated
