Excursions on Raiatea or Tahaa

Has anyone been on any 4 x4 safaris on Raiatea or Tahaa? Or on Bruno's Tour? or any other excursion in the area? I am staying at Vahine Island for 3 days and I was wondering if there were any tours worth doing. I have already booked Bruno's tour, which was quite expensive, and was wondering if it was worth the price.

We stayed at La Pirogue next door to the Vahine Island in Feb.,and took "Dave's Tour" - he takes you on circle island 4x4 (Tahaa), followed by a boat trip to the fantastic coral gardens next to Le Tahaa. Picnic and "live entertainment" included, I think we paid about $90/person. We loved it.

west coast charters, at the visitor's center on Raiatea, offers an exciting excursion to the coral gardens, and a couple more stops. first time with them we went to a pearl farm, a vanilla plantation, and a coral wall that is beyond words!!

I'm leaving in 37 days and will be staying in Bora Bora. Does anyone know of am excursion from BB to the coral gardens, pearl and vanilla farms; probably the same tour laurieb took. And yes, the coral garden wall looks spectacular - I would hate to miss it!
