Hello all FP fans! I'm planning my honeymoon which will include a few nights at Le Taha'a, and was wondering if someone could explain what makes the three Premium OWBs at Le Taha'a better or different from the other OWBs?
They appear to cost about $100 US more per night and are located at the far end of each string of OWBs, but is there anything else that differentiates them from the others?
Any and all replies will be much appreciated!

Hi QuincyMom and welcome to the forum. We just got back from Le Taha'a. The Premiums are exactly the same layout, but are at the end of the pontoon, so you have a little bit more privacy. The design of the bungalows is very good, so all get maximum privacy. We stayed in Sunset #42 (next door to Premium 41). Our view was facing towards the west, but #41 faces south, so we had way better sunsets than the Premium bungalow next door. I have some photos of our view in the trip report section (IC Tahiti, Pearl Bora Bora, Le Taha June 9). My suggestion would be to ask for Sunset #42, you won't be dissappointed. The resort is unbelievable. You'll have a great time.

G'day Gary, and thanks for your response! I read your trip report with great interest and viewed your photos with much envy! From looking at your photos, OWB #42 does seem to have *the* prime location. But, as you know, room requests are not guaranteed! I think Xavier at the Pearl really hooked you up!
p.s. A little off topic, but did you post a photo of your new tattoo? I don't remember seeing it in your photos and would love to. It sounds very cool. My FH is considering getting one during our honeymoon so we'd like to see how yours turned out! Thanks!

hi QuincyMom, We requested via e-mail Premium OW 35 at BB and Sunset 42 at Taha'a. We got both, so it would be a good idea to try and e-mail them - at least they will give it to you if it is available, but if they don't know that you have a preference before you get there, then that would reduce your chances even more. As far as the tattoo goes, it is in the slideshow. Fati (standing next to my wife) is in photo 41 and the tattoo is the next photo. If you take a close look at the tattoo you will see two sharks, a turtle, a gecko and several Marquesan partial symbols of tikis, all inside the shape of a Manta. The design is Marquesan, which is exactly what I wanted. We are going back in November 07, where I will get Fati to fill my shoulder and the rest of the top half of my arm with more underwater Marquesan symbols. The tattoo received many positive comments both from Tahitians in French Polynesia and tattooists back here in Australia. I highly recommend Fati, he is very talented and has many stories to tell, especially his skiing trips to the French Alps every second year!! (Imagine a tattooed Tahitian flying down the snow slopes!) If you have any questions about our trip, please don't hesitate to contact me.
