We just extended our honeymoon by 2 nights so now we'll be at Le Taha'a for 4 nights instead of 2...can't wait!!! Any good excursions you'd recommend us doing there or should we just relax at the resort?
Thanks!

Le Tahaa is amazing and in my opinion the best hotel in FP. I have not been to the two new hotels in Bora Bora but Le Tahaa is amazing. Very relaxing, nice rooms, good service and good food. Its very, very slow there so be ready to completely relax. I could only stay 4 nights there because I would go nuts.

Thanks Pacific Andy!
A friend of mine honeymooned at Le Taha'a last year and just raved and raved about it and said it was THE best hotel of all she stayed at. Now with the Thalasso open - I'm afraid Le Taha'a won't compare. I've actually read a few reviews of honeymooners who have done Thalasso and then Le Taha'a and they were all really let down. I hope I'm not. Now that I have heard that and I'm expecting Thalasso to be just as great if not better than Le Taha'a - I think I'll be fine. My fiance and I really love to just veg out and relax on our vacations so I think Le Taha'a will be perfect for us. I'm excited!

Has anyone stayed in the Beach Bungalow Villa with Plunge Pool (Le Tahaa Resort)??? Any pics?? I looked online & the plunge pool didn't really look up to par (maybe just a bad pic)...Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you.

The plunge pool is best for cooling off after sunning on your private patio. There are a few jets in there so it is somewhat like a hot tub. But if you are looking to swim in it, forget about it. With that said, I loved our beach bungalow even with the limitations of the plunge pool. If you plan on sunning in the private garden, you'll be jumping in the plunge pool every 15 minutes. So it's very useful as long as you don't think of it as being your personal swimming pool.

Farra: Do a search in the Tahaa section of this forum for the post called "Images of Tahaa". Jells had some good photos of her beach bungalow and plunge pool when she stayed there.

The plunge pool is definitely not for swimming \:\) Personally I enjoyed the garden tub. It had a shower with hot water. The beach bungalow was worth it. We visited the OWB's and found them extremly nice too. Given a choice I would still pick the Beach Bungalow. If I could only tap my heels I know where I would be.

Myra, Glad you enjoyed the Tahaa Resort. We were there last year and also stayed in the beach bungalow. Loved it!! Did you happen to tour the island of Tahaa? Did you notice the Taravana Yacht club? We're thinking about staying there for a few nights to save some $$$.

The Yacht Club is pretty primative. If you enjoyed the Le Tahaa its not even close. The Yacht club is fair at best. I would do the Pearl on Raitea before.
