NYCchic NYCchic Member Registered: 01/28/06 Posts: 209 Loc: New York, NY, USA	Hi, Supposed to be staying at Le Taha'a from March 12th for 3 nights. They are closing Jan. 1st for renovations and are due to re-open on March 4th. My travel agent spoke to her Pearl Resort rep today and she told her they are just expanding the spa - adding more treatment rooms - doing something to the gym. And building 2 new deluxe bungalows. They aren't doing anything at all to the existing bungalows. So my TA believes we will be fine even if the work isn't finished - she seemed to get the impression we would still be able to stay there. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I know "island time" is slow. She told me if they did not open on time we would be put up at another Pearl Resort wherever they had availability. That would upset me b/c I am trying to end our honeymoon with the best/nicest hotel. We will be at the Thalasso for 5 nights prior to Le Taha'a so would hate to go from Thalasso to Bora Bora Pearl or some other Pearl. We are thinking about giving up on Le Taha'a and just spending those last 3 nights at Thalasso....am having a really hard time deciding what to do and wanted to get some thoughts from this very helpful forum!
