I've been visiting this forum for about a month and a half and must say THANKS to all for the great info and suggestions.
My Wife and I are going to FP for our 1st time in Sept.2007 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We are staying at the BB lagoon in an OTW bungalow for 3 days than off to le'Tahaa for 3 days then we are taking a cruise on the Paul Gauguin for 7 more days.
I have a couple of questions that I'm sure you all could help me with, #1 are there any "BAD" OTW bungalows @ BB lagoon such as no view, privacy, etc.?? Also, we have the "Paul Gauguin Suite" #801 reserved for the cruise. Can someone let me know just how "GREAT" this suite and cruise actually are?.
We have lived in Hawaii on the windward shore of Oahu for 15 years so the tropical aspects of the trip are pretty much covered.
Mahalo in advance for your help. Joe

My wife and I have a trip planned for March 2009 staying at the BBL Resort in an OTW bungalow. Thought I'd ask about your experience. From what I've read on the forum and heard from the travel agent, looks like a nice place. This will be our first trip to FP.

Sounds great! Considering it is 32 degrees here in Texas today...I am wishing we were already there.

We just got back from a week at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort. Everything about our stay and the accomodations was outstanding. Beautiful resort and the staff bend over backwards to ensure the stay is pleasant. Excellent food in the Otemanu restaurant, we paid for the meal plan and ate breakfast here every morning and dinner on three nights We will definitely return, some day, and stay here again.

Good to hear you had a great time, TxTerrier. Was the resort very busy? Did you any excursions? Go into town often? I'd love to hear more...maybe you could post a trip report in that forum?

Glad to hear that you had a good experience at this resort. You hardly ever hear of the property on the boards. It's got a great location and proximity to town.

Indeed, funny enough where the others are all complaining we don't hear much from BBLR, they seem to be doing quite ok despite the circumstances

I took your suggestion and posted a trip report. The resort was not busy at all and on our final day they extended our checkout to 4:30pm, our flight did not leave until 6pm.
