Unfornatually my buisness requires that I stay involved. What type of internet access does the Le Tahaa have? Wireless? I would rather not bring my laptop if they have computers that can be used.

http://www.pearlresorts.com/pro/data/_info/pdf/2007%20Le%20Taha'a%20Private%20Island%20&%20Spa.pdf
(Tahitipresse) - Starting Jan. 7, Le Taha'a Private Island & Spa, one of the most luxurious resorts of French Polynesia, will close its doors to the public for extensive additions and renovations.
When the doors reopen in March, the resort will have two new Presidential Suites on the beach and one overwater Presidential Suite, according to a Tahiti Tourism North America media release.
The resort will also have a new fitness room, a relaxing lounge with pool table, library, media room, and an Internet "web corner."
The existing Manea Spa will be enlarged and the Diving Center by the lagoon will be relocated.
Located in the Leeward islands, the Taha'a Pearl Beach Resort joined the international Relais & Châteaux Association in 2004.
It first opened under the name of The Taha'a Pearl Beach Resort on July 29, 2002.

They always had a "Web Corner" not much more than a dial up and one computer. Very Very Very slow if your use to DSL. They also did not have the English Keyboard Options last summer. Hope that changed. Figure each email with the slow typing and dial up about 10 minutes each.

Hi -- we just got back from Le Taha'a this Friday (Sept. 14, 2007). They have improved the web situation since Pacific Andy has been, fortunately. They now have DSL access with three computers connected to the internet at all times, with a printer. That is all in their business lounge, which is large, has a couch, TV, and a little lending library.
Because DSL is very expensive, guests who access the internet are charged $18 for the entire stay to go on line as much as they want. Their PR manager told us it was a loss-leader for them because DSL is so expensive in Tahiti, but because so many other hotels offer internet access for free they felt they had to keep the access cost down.
You can also access the internet via modem from your room, but it is very slow and it is much much more expensive than just going to the business office.
Hope that helps. Sorry you can't just leave work behind for a little while.
