Opinions on the Radisson?

We'll be landing about 10:40pm Saturday night, fly to Moorea Sunday 11am. Staying all the way out at the Radisson to have an in room hot tub, more romantic.
Has anyone stayed there? How far is it, or should we really stay at something closer to the airport?
Thanks

Its a very nice hotel. Its about 20 minutes to/from the airport. Be sure to have your transportation arranged both ways before. You probably will not enjoy the resort since by the time you clear customs and check in it will be around 1:00 a.m. and then you will need to leave around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. to go to the airport.

We stayed there and we really liked it. We only had it for a day since it was our post cruise room. Unfortunatly if you plan to only be there that short amount of time, I'd probably stay closer to the airport.

If you want to stay closer to the airport and have the $$$, the deep-water overwaters at the Intercontinental have amazing, huge soaking tubs that fit two ;) Most of the deep overwaters have a direct view of Moorea-- we found it magical to wake up and see where we headed. Their other room categories are not exactly shabby either (we've managed to stay in everything but a panoramic view room). And I believe they have a big old Sunday brunch.

100% agree with Zoe; while the snorkeling isn't the best and the beach isn't the best, the hotel itself, the staff, and the food are THE best in all of Tahiti. The Intercontinental is by far the best hotel and is much closer to the airport.

If you're just there overnight, perhaps you should consider the Sheraton, it's close to the airport (I've never stayed there.) I like the Radisson, but it is quite far away, and if you're arriving late you will be tired. Everybody but me likes the ICB, but it's hardly worth having that lovely room, just to sleep in.

Hey everyone- thanks for chiming in. Yeah I wasn't as concerned about the view since we would barely be there during daylight. After we woke up we had a few minutes to stroll by the beautiful pool and that's about it.
Seems like a nice place, although the beach doesn't seem to be all that. But we chose the place for the tub- and it was great to have after the flight and the room was beautiful. The cheeseplate they have (very limited late room service) was good as well. Staff was very nice. Bread throughout French Poly was incredible, just as an aside. And I'm not even a bread guy.
