Hi, after reading all the good reviews on Raimiti, we are considering spending a few days there later this year. When I started planning our trip to Fakarava, I really wanted to scuba dive there, but after reading several posts about how strong the current can be for a new diver I am not sure anymore....
What I would really like to know is, on Fakarava or any other island, can you see sharks, mantas and turtle when snorkeling ???

We saw lots of black-tipped sharks (one was coming right at me on the drift snorkel, LOL).
We didn't see any mantas or turtles, but lots of different kinds of fish, clams, and many people see eels.
