When we left the airport and walked up the road a bit to wait for Le Truck, there was a food truck right there. We didn't look too closely but it was basic hamburgers, stuff like that. It's about 5 minutes up the road walking towards town.

Well...to be honest Holte, I've been a very bad student all summer. We started out like gangbusters, but then summer got in the way. I've been so busy all summer, I kinda let my French studies slip. I figure as soon as fall gets here, we'll get started again. I guess we're studying on the regular school year plan...summers off!
But....up until I stopped for the summer....it was great. We were doing very well....except for the actual pronunciation of the words. We still really suck at that. I've learned tons more words in just a few weeks than I ever learned when I took it in school. It's a great program. You just have to be dedicated to stick with it. Life has a way of getting in the way. You just HAVE to make time to do it. Kinda like going to the gym to work out. :-)

We have our giant Tahitian dictionary . We were going to learn one word a week. I have revised that to one a year. We have French for Dummies, and I guess we need some lower lever than dummies. I had 3 years of French in school and a year in college. If only the young could have the wisdom of the older!

The food questions are answered but for the boat ride to Ramiti make sure you have your sunscreen on your legs and a pareo to cover your legs. The last thing you want is a nice sunburn to start your stay.

Good point about covering the legs-don't forget underneath as my husband got a sunburn from the reflection from the bottom of the boat.

Will do that Hamara. I've heard that from many of you who have been to Raimiti.
I went ahead and booked the killer rate at the Intercontinental for that night. I really do like that hotel and I'm pretty sure I saw a store nearby to grab something in the morning to eat so we don't have to do their expensive breakfast.
