Kaina Hut was very good. Price is about $15-30 US (roughly 1500-3000 cfp) per entree. Loved Top Dive on one of my previous trips but very disappointed on my most recent trip - especially considering how expensive it is. Bloody Mary's is average at best and is a place to visit more for the ambience and a few drinks rather than stellar food.

La Bounty--a short walk from the Sofitel Beach Resort where the shuttle from the Motu drops off--is a bit more casual and a bit cheaper, but has good food. Even cheaper is a pizza and crepes stand a little further down the road. We really enjoyed Fare Manuia in Matira area--a great variety, well-prepared and beautifully presented food. (And if you're a meat-lover, they serve the largest steak I've seen anywhere!) Our dinners were easily over $100 for two, usually closer to $150, but we usually ordered wine and dessert. (That, of course does not include Villa Mahana, which was twice as much!) But we saved by not going to restaurants for breakfast or lunch. Instead we went to Tiare market (also a couple of minutes walk from Sofitel Beach) almost daily for croissants, fruit, juice for breakfast and baguettes and cheese for lunch. We brought a collapsible cooler with us and kept it filled with ice to keep things fresh.

For a cheaper meal you can go to the market to buy food to prepare. We liked Pizza and Crepes a basic pizza at the time was 1800 to 2500 cpf.

Kaina hut is closing the end of the month (renovation and new lease holder) and will reopen somewhere in October with a different theme (more family type of restaurant...) Great new place is St James in Vaitapa (old Pirate bar, with ex Top Dive chef) has a wonderful terrace and views with reasonable prices. Patoti is a small restaurant between the Sofitel and Club Med which used to be awfull but has a new chef who does some great stuff for very reasonable prices.

Plenty to chose from depending on taste and budget

I would like to know more about the exact prices of some of these restaurants so I can properly budget my trip.
Would you say that on average dinner costs $75 usd per person with a few drinks?

After being on BB in November, I would say $100.00 - $125.00 per person at a nicer place. Top Dive for 2 was about $222 and Rest. Matira Beach was $325. This included before/after dinner drinks, a bottle of wine and dessert. I would include Bloody Mary's in the Top Dive catagory. Be prepared for sticker shock.
