MichelleG,
Have a great trip, the Nui really is the most beautiful physical property I've ever seen, there will be occasional service lapses but just go with it. Don't eat at Iritai, definitely eat at Villa Mahana, and enjoy the trip! (By the way, Bora Bora Nui is not a Sheraton.)
I look forward to hearing your report!
As for how I got so many points, I'm not in the travel industry.. and I try not to puke too much. Seriously, I still have a 7-figure mileage balance even after this trip. Hah.

Gleff -
I will definitely compile a trip report upon return...although we are just doing the Sheraton Tahiti and Moorea. Bora Bora was too points expensie at this point! But to compete with your report would be insane!
Can't believe you still have so many ff points! Geesh! I can only aspire....
Talk to you soon - Michelle

Gleff, thanks for a wonderful trip report. Not fun being sick on an airplane that is for sure. Glad you both are feeling better. That is awesome that you were able to use points and miles for your honeymoon. Not everyone is that fortunate. The only time I have flown first class was to Guam and that was a treat. I was wishing we were in first class on the way back from Tahiti but it was not meant to be.

Air Tahiti Nui really does have a very nice first class. I'd say that their catering is truly world class, up there with Singapore and Cathay Pacific.
Their First seat is good, a notch above business class, but not on par with the best sleeper seats in the world.
I'd be happy with Air Tahiti Nui in First Class compared to any other airline in the world for Los Angeles-Papeete, Papeete-Auckland, Papeete-Sydney (coming soon to a theatre near you!), but Tokyo, Osaka, JFK - Papeete and Los Angeles - Paris seem a little long (though still nice, to be sure).
