What's the best resort on Bora Bora to get married? we want to stay at the Le Moana Intercontinental because it looks amazing and just wondered if anyone has recommendations as to who does the best Polynesian weddings.
Cheers!

Hotel Bora Bora used to have a great site for weddings. The spot is still there but I do not know if they still do weddings. I am sure they do though.

Intercontinental Thalasso has a gorgeous Overwater Chapel with an amazing view directly to Mt Otemanu. You might want to see if you can use those facilities if you are staying at the sister property at Le Moana. We saw a couple having a traditional Polynesian Wedding Ceremony at the beach at Thalasso too and it looked fantastic.

We got married at Le Meridien back in 1999/2000 new year. It was amazing. We were both dressed by Tahitians in the traditional pareos, then Cath was carried to the beach by two Tahitians from our OWB, while I was picked up in an outrigger and arrived by water. The ceremony was traditional Tahitian and absolutely awesome. They provided everything - the band, dancers, celebrant, then when the ceremony was over, we were taken by outrigger to a launch, which was all decorated. There was only us two and the captain. He drove us around the island during sunset. The package also included a private three course meal on the balcony of the room (what ever meals you wanted!) plus the night in the overwater. We are considering renewing our vowes with the same ceremony in 2009. Highly recommended.

Ia Orana, normally you can have your Polynesian wedding at the hotel or you can book a private motu wedding ceremony through the conciergerie of the hotel where you are staying (count appr. 4000 us$) it depends on you budget and your wishes. Virtually anything is possible. I would advise you to get in touch with the conciergerie of the hotel of your choice when you book, to request info on possible arrangements.
