We're booked on Aranui's 12th voyage in 2008 - leaves August 30. Any others out there on the same trip? Or anyone who has taken that trip in August/September?

Don't know if August 30 is still (French) school holiday, in which case there may be children on the Aranui who tend to "take over" the only available small pool but it is a nice period weatherwise and the itinerary is great and very interesting (very different from the "regular cruiseship" trips)

Hi I'm planning on #10 in 2008 (july 19 departure). Anyone else? I'll be staying in the dorm area. Are there any other solo travelers out there? I'm planning on a week on Huahine with my family, then I'll leave them to their surfing and go on the Aranui.

I would suggest to both of you to read "Taipi" by Herman Melville
