In a past life within the aircraft industry, there is never a better time to fly with an airline then after an accident. Sad but true. So I woould feel a lot better knowing these problems have been fixed and their maintenance has been improved. Companies that have never had an accident are the ones I am worried about - read QUANTAS! They are either really darn good or their time is coming. I hope its the former.

Believe me, I know it's stupid to be freaked out over the plane :) Ergo, I've gone ahead and booked it.

Zoe, you can comfort yourself with the fact that the flight will ONLY be 7 minutes long!

Well that and... if i HAD to go, in the lagoon of Moorea would be high on my list ;) I guess I'd just have to hope that I got to haunt my final resting place. I'm just not going to think about it. It's only seven minutes long and I'm sure I'll be far too busy watching my kids check out the itty-bitty plane after playing with the roosters at the airport.

Zoe- You've got it right. If your time is up, at least it was in a beautiful place where you were happy and carefree.

Justine, Did you ever try downloading that Silence is Golden song off of Tahiti Zik? I heard the site was working.

I hadn't tried lately, so thanks much! My husband will die when he hears it.
