I like the idea of the king sized bed and more space as well as a breeze (I like to be cool when I sleep), however, the price is more and you don't have the lagoon view. Any opinions from those of you who have been?

We sat on the deck of the ocean-side bungalow every afternoon that we could (there was someone in there our last full day so we didn't that afternoon) and the breeze is wonderful! Also, it has hot water (important for us in the morning). But I prefer the view on the lagoon-side (the ocean-side is more moon-like). Still, there are some wonderful fossils & other things to look at on that side. Oh, and that side is waaaay more private so it's perfect for a honeymoon. Plus the bathroom (did I mention the hot water?) is inside rather than a separate building. And did I mention the hot water, LOL?!

We prefered the lagoon side. The breezes were just as good most of the time and we only had 1 dead still night. The seperate bathroom was no big deal. I placed one of the solar lights from the path in the bathroom and it provided light all night long.

Well, I'll have opinion on the matter in 2 weeks if you can wait that long. We'll be at Raimiti all of next week....in a lagoon side bungalow.

The oceanside unit wasn't finished when we were there. I liked the lagoon side units because of the view. Looking into the lagoon was what Rangi was all about for us. The privacy on the oceanside is attractive, especially if you're on a honeymoon. The sound of the crashing waves has got to help add to that romance.

The ocean bungalow is sort of isolated from the rest of the property, so it's good for privacy. It's also more house-like than the lagoonside "huts". We stayed in a lagoon bungalow and decided that next time we'll try to split the time half/half between ocean and lagoon. If I had to choose, I would say lagoonside.

When we were there in November, Eric told us that after we left, they had a week of no guests. They were going to start on the first of 4 new ocean side bungalows. So I don't know how much longer it will be possible to be off by yourself on that side. Sounds like there will be neighbors in the very near future.

I booked for May 2009 and at this point, they are offering me any bungalow I want...I prefer the lagoon side with the most privacy. Is the furthest one good, or any other you Raimiti experts would recommend?

Thank you!
Andie
