Just back from Raimiti...BIG NEWS!!!!

Just got home a few hours ago from Fakarava and Moorea. It'll be the end of the week before I post a trip report, I need to get back to real life first. but....I wanted to let all you Raimiti vets in on the good news. Maluha is pregnant. She's due in August. She'll be leaving Raimiti in June to stay on Moorea for the birth and probably for the babies first year.
Overall.... we had a GREAT time. Raimiti is AMAZING! We can't wait to go back.

Patti, that's great news. Can't wait to read your trip report and see some pictures. Did you get all our names corrected in the book?

Joe~ Yes, I did do the updates in the book. It was so neat to see how many people from this forum have signed that book...or books...they well into their second book now. I was amazed by some of the creative drawings people have done. Some very artistic people indeed!
Also...did they have the DVD for sale when you were there? I think they just made it very recently. We bought it. Very cool! We just watched it last night. It has 3 videos on it (each about 5-6 minutes). One on Raimiti itself, one at the Pass, and one at Hirifa beach. And also has 95 pictures on it.

No DVD for sale when we were there. Did Maluha's boyfriend shoot the video? And what kind of pic's are on it?

I think it was shot by both Patea and Maluha. The pics are great. They are of all things Raimiti. The pigs, the Red Footed Boobie, the Egret, the dogs, the rock garden, Hirifa Beach, the Pass, the church, the motus, some amazing sunsets, I can't remember everything else on it. But it was a very representative collection of photos. We felt it was worth buying. It was 4000xpf.
I know Patea was shooting a couple sunset videos each night we were there. But none were that great while we were there. A couple decent ones, but not specacular. The video making is probably a work in progress and they will update the DVD as they get new and better material to put on it.

Patti, I emailed Maluha as we will be on Moorea in November of 2008. She should have had the baby by then. Told her we wanted to see her and the little one. I'll wait and see if she responds.

Hi Patti,
You might have seen my husbands drawing in the guestbook. It was a big tiki. He loved making drawings just before dinner enjoying the sunset and a Hinano (you cann't get more inspiration than there!!)
We are going to Cuba in 2 months but I'm still drawn to this forum. Maybe one day we will return to FP...
Still working on getting my pictures on internet. It seems to take hours to upload them (and I have sooo many)
