Wow, we're snarky? I wouldn't have thought so after reading TripAdvisor!
But yes, bugs cannot be stopped when you have a pandus roof. That's just reality. The addicted of this board tend to practice expectation management. You wouldn't believe the posts of people who return when reality didn't meet ISO 9001 clean room standards.

Sorry, chicagolawyer if I offended you. That was not my intention. Now that I have read your response, I do realise that you were only asking a question about bugs. My intention was not to be "snarky", or ridicule you in any way. But in keeping with the theme of the most beautiful place on the planet - it comes at a price - albeit a small price for some - a little higher for others. Bugs do not bother us (just stay at Club Med BB and check out the giant Boarer (Bora?) bugs that tend to like creating mini oil well drill sites in your handrail every day. We actually enjoyed seeing how far they had drilled each day until the maintenance people removed and blocked the "drill site". The main thing to remember is - none of them are poisonous - not like they are in "Asia, Latin America, Europe, Africa etc ". What my intention of my first reply was - don't let a bug ruin potentially what could be your most memorable vacation ever. The place truly is amazing and beautiful, even with the odd roach or bug.
