Both. I suppose they are securely anchored into the hillside....at least I would hope so! But they have taken away so much vegetation to build them I wonder just how stable that mountainside would be in a really torrential rain.

I did not go up and examine them in person. I just drove by several times in a car and a boat. But I think they look horrible. It's just not an attractive development at this point. Maybe after some vegetation grows in it'll look better.
