So we are staying in a Premium Overwater Bungalow at the Sheraton Moorea. The hotel has told me that we are eligible for the 4th last bungalow of each section - I have been trying to upload a copy of the hotel map that the hotel provided me but have not had any luck. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the bungalow choices for this category, and why? I know that the hotel can not guarantee a specific bungalow but I would really appreciate some info on your bungalow recommendations at this hotel in this category. Please let me know what you think and why. Also, anyone ever have any luck on uploading files to this site?
Thanks.

We have stayed in the Premium Overwater Bungalow at the Sheraton Moorea and I am unable to comprehend exactly what they mean when they say "...the 4th last bungalow of each section." The ones we've stayed in before, were the end ones where you have no neighbor in front of you, but it really made very little differnce as all were comfortable and well designed. The only differnces were related to the fact that you either got the sunrise or the sunset off your private deck.

I think he means the last 4 bungalows at the end of each section. Wouldn't those most likely be the premium ones?

Sorry for the confusion, but yes I am referring to the last 4 bungalows of each section. Any recommendations are always appreciated!

Room number 108 is perhaps the best located Premium Overwater Bungalow of them all. The hot afternoon sun makes the odd numbered rooms a little uncomfortable, but the even numbered rooms stay tolerable all day and #108 is the very end room on the walkway.

I believe I still have my map of the resort. I forgot to look when I got home last night. Please e-mail me at sredman2002 at yahoo dot com and i will scan a copy and e-mail it back to you.
If I remember correctly from our visit in November 2006, there were 3 categories of OWBs. Standards - Closest to the beach, some may face toward the ocean. Horizons - midway out, all facing toward the ocean. Premium - at the ends of each of the three arms. Not sure if there was only one at each end (as only one at each end had total privacy from others). We paid for the Horizon, but were at the end (#86) with only one OWB further out which we knew was definitely a Premium.

I believe you can now reserve the Premium Horizon "Sunset" Overwater Bungalows (these are units 103, 105, 107 and 109).
They have an un-obstructed view of the sunset and look straight out to the lagoon (no OWB's across from them). However, the Sheraton charges an additional fee over and above the standard PHOWB…..but without question they’re the best the Sheraton has to offer.

We stayed in #108 back in October. It was at the very end of the walkway and great for watching the sunrise. However if we went again we would request #109 because of the sunset views. I just called a few months ahead of time and requested a room at the end of the walkway. They wouldn't guarantee a specific room but I did find out that the couple that was in 109 requested that room specifically whereas we just requested a room at the end.

We feel that the premium OTWs are over-rated. Strove to get one and wondered why when we were actually there. During sunset hours, there are other guests on the end-platform taking in the sunset..........they paid less and you have them at your front/back door.
