Poehere, We are staying at Fare Pea Iti. Brigette sounds like such a terrific hostess...do you know her? We are really excited to be spending time on both Raiatea and Tahaa......

Wow, what an itinerary, Vaitape!

As for me, it would be a Friday. We'll be on the Paul Gauguin for two weeks, and have only one day in Moorea instead of the usual two. Since we will have a friend with us who has never been to FP, I thought it would be nice for him to see a bit of Moorea in advance. Haven't really thought out what we would do--a snorkel excursion perhaps, or dolphins. Or just drive around and up to the Belvedere, circumnavigate the islands, stop for a swim, have some lunch. Just explore a bit. Last time we rented a car, but didn't make it right around the island, didn't have enough time.

Ia Orana Wendy...Glad to see you here! I think your plan of renting a car and circumnavigating the island would be fun for your friend. Rent a car, have a swim at Temae Beach, do the Belevedere road, stop at Les Tip for another snorkel and swim and maybe lunch after you stop at the Blue Pineapple in Cook's Bay for a beer.... Also don't forget the snorkeling at the Sheraton.
OR, a personal tour with Albert's could be good too. Some of the Moorea experts like Hamara, Barbara, and Patti will give you good advice.....and when we return from our trip, I'll be more current in Moorea info too
Happy planning........see you sooner than later now!

Wendy,

the rental agencies on Moorea all have 4 hour time blocks if you don't want to rent for a full day~ We just went and paid 6611 for 4 hours at the Avis that is close to the ferry.

Hi Pinky, Did you make prior reservations with Avis? If so, did
you call Avis at their 1-800 phone or e-mail Avis Moorea directly? We are undecided on the lenghth of time we want to rent a car.

No, we called from the hotel the day before we wanted the car....no issues. We were unsure if we wanted to rent a car at all and just decided at the last minute. They have 4 hours, 8 hours and 24+ just depending on what you are looking for. We ended up turning the car in early, but it was worth it to get to the juice factory :-) We tried to go up to the look out on Belvedere but the was a rally in progress~
