Thanks. Still not sure of our plans. Car rental is so expensive, but there are 4 of us travelling. One taxi can't fit ourselves and our luggage for the trip to the hotel when we arrive on the ferry.

[quote=vaitape]Ia Orana Wendy...Glad to see you here! I think your plan of renting a car and circumnavigating the island would be fun for your friend. Rent a car, have a swim at Temae Beach, do the Belevedere road, stop at Les Tip for another snorkel and swim and maybe lunch after you stop at the Blue Pineapple in Cook's Bay for a beer.... Also don't forget the snorkeling at the Sheraton. OR, a personal tour with Albert's could be good too. Some of the Moorea experts like Hamara, Barbara, and Patti will give you good advice.....and when we return from our trip, I'll be more current in Moorea info too Happy planning........see you sooner than later now! Sounds like good suggestions, Vaitape! Especially since we're only in Moorea one day on the cruise this time. Sounds like we could do alot. I'm the only one, probably, with my own mask and snorkel so perhaps an organized snorkel trip, at least, would be a good add-on to a drive around the island, lunch and a swim. Is Albert's the best to arrange something like this? Don't know much about Albert's other than their rental cars can sometimes be beaters! Or perhaps there's somewhere to rent equipment.
I've heard that the coral is taking a beating in Moorea. I'll be interested to hear about your latest trip--how many visits to FP will that be? I'm jealous, I have to wait until December!
What time would we have to get back on the ferry to Papeete?

During the week 16h45 last ferry back to Tahiti. Coral is being eaten away by the Taramea, a starfish of sort , however they are doing big clean ups all over
