Hello, i am thinking of breaking the bank and staying here for a few nights for our honeymoon - but i was shoked to read on the hotel web site that they have JET SKIS! surely not - in all that peace and quiet and beauty - to have it ripped to shreds by the noise these things make! (yes i know they are fun)...can someone put my fears to rest and tell me they dont allow them on the bungalow side of the island?...please....or are they allowed to go where ever they wish?..in this case my dream of a serene stunning holiday is not going to happen!
thank you

They have them, but I heard they were very expensive to rent. We were just there for 8 nights, and they were not used once. A few locals had them though and came on our side of the bungalows (Bora Bora view) to visit the motu nearby over the weekend, but they weren't very loud, and didn't go back and forth very much. The Moorea Pearl is a different story. I don't think they rent them there, but there were so may jet skis and speed boats one weekend we were there that it drove us crazy.

Carrieq,

I noticed you stayed 8 nights at the Le Tahaa resort. Did you find that was too long? We are going for our honeymoon in November and may do 5 nights in Bora Bora and 4 in Tahaa or just in Tahaa. We would like to relax and enjoy the beauty, but I also want to make sure my hubby doesn't get too bored. If you could let me know your thoughts that would be greatly appreicated.

Thank you

kwhite - We have stayed at Le Taha'a on two different occasions, first time for 6 nights, second time for 8 nights. I thought the first trip was so perfect, so we decided to stay longer the second time, but I have to say that 6 nights was probably the best period of time, and 8 days was a little long, mostly because the limited food choices, you just kind of get sick of the same places every day after about the 6th day. We did mix it up a little more this time, by going to the gourmet restaurant twice and Louise's on the main island once, but still by the end we were ready for something different. I still think this is one of the nicest place we have ever been and we definitely will be back.

Hi kwhite, we did 6 at BB Pearl and 4 at Le Tahaa back in 2006. I agree with carrieg - we could have quite easily stayed for another couple of days but it is definiety a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful resort. We are also travelling in November - when will you be there?
