Hi STM and Patti and any other CBH owners. I've been chatting with some Canadian friends (B.C.) who seem to be interested in a possible CBH timeshare ownership. I've been there and enjoyed the heck out of the stay. Question is ??? Where is the best place to look for what is currently available in CBH timeshare weeks for sale? Go directly to the group in California, where this organization is from, or what? Many thanks for the info.
Also, what is their current ownership annual maintenance fee?

STM should have much better info on this than me...he is a past president of the owners association, and I have only been an owner for a year...so I don't know a heck of a lot.
But....I assume you could try with the property management company in CA. They may know something, or at least be able to send you in the right direction. This years fee was $567 (I think). That was for a beach bungalow. I think maybe the fee varies slightly as to which kind of unit you have...Beach, Bay View, Overwater.
I ran into someone there in May who was interested in selling one of the weeks he owns (I think he owns 3 or 4 weeks). I gave him this site to post if on if he wished. But I haven't seen anything from him. Like a dummy, I did not ask his name or contact information.

Thanks Patti! We met a fellow from So Cal. in January, one year, who owned several weeks at CBH and his name was Richard. He came down with two vahines from So Cal, and did we ever have a grand old time sitting around the outside bar--before it became Blue Pineapple--and putting away the beverages...nuff said!! So, what kind of unit did you purchase? We stayed in #21 and loved every minute of it. Hung up a string of pineapples
and had one for each day...hated to see the last one because we became badly infected with the "flu" as we started to pack up...

I have a Beach Bungalow. I've stayed in #21 too. I like that unit. But my fav is #42, one of the OWB. The problem with teh Beach rooms is they are very close to the road and there is a lot of traffic noise. #21 is the exception to that. But we can always upgrade to an OWB if they are availble.
Most of the long time owners own several weeks now. They have bought additional weeks over the years as they becamse available on the secondary market. My gut feeling is with the cost of travel right now and the horrible exchange rate, I think maybe some people will be selling their timeshares. The next year or two may have some good deals.

No clue what the sales price is these days . . . there's not much effort to sell.
There are usually a couple of weeks for sale on the timeshare resale sites . . . I forget their names.
