I always buy larger too. I figure if it's too big, they can always grow into it...if it's too small, they'll never be able to wear it. I remember when my daughter was born, more than half of the newborn stuff she received never fit her. Now, when buying a baby gift, I never buy anything smaller than 6 months....and quite often 9 months.

I usually go 2 years and up. People get all this stuff for newborns and babies and it's great to reach into a drawer & find something size 2 and bigger for later on when all those baby gifts have been outgrown. I remember doing that with my kids and those gifts (the bigger sizes) really were appreciated.
