Hi Everyone,

My fiance and I are looking for some recommendations of the best black sand beach and waterfall on the island of Tahiti.

We are staying at the Intercontinental near the airport but wouldn't mind going the distance in order to see paradise at its finest.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

The Radisson is right on a black sand beach (north east of Papeete) from there on going east you'll find plenty of black sand beaches/areas and the waterfalls as well in the Papenoo area

The Fa’aurumai waterfalls are spectacular. They are located just north of the blowhole. The road turns off to the right about 100 yards beyond the blowhole and continues to a small parking lot. The first and largest cascade is located 10 minutes from the parking lot along an easy dirt and stone path. The other 2 are another 20 minute walk over a bit more difficult path that winds up and down and can get a bit slippery in spots. Well worth the visit.
